Music is music selected for 2017 New York Film Festival


Music is music, a film by Mathieu Amalric which is part of the Crazy Girl Crazy album, has been selected for the 55th New York Film Festival in October, as part of their Spotlight on Documentary series. It will be shown alongside two films made by Amalric: Zorn, an ongoing piece on the composers performer John Zorn, and C’est presque au bout du monde, made for Paris Opera’s Troisième Scene, featuring Barbara’s voice.
The 18-day New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema, featuring top films from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent.
Since 1963, the New York Film Festival has brought new and important cinematic works from around the world to Lincoln Center. In addition to the Main Slate official selections, the festival includes newly restored classics, special events, filmmaker talks, panel discussions, and an Avant-Garde showcase.

The premiere of Music is music is October 13, 2017 at Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center.

Tickets for general public will be available on September 10th.
