Crazy Girl Crazy, the debut album of Barbara Hannigan as singer and conductor is the winner of the 2018 Opus Klassik Award for Best Solo Performance / Vocals of the Year (Oratorio, Concert, Lied).
The Opus Klassik Award is the new award for classical music in Germany (succeeding the former ECHO-Klassik) and the winning discs are selected by a jury of Germany recording industry experts. The ceremony takes place on Sunday 14 October at Konzerthaus Berlin and will be broadcast nationwide on ZDF TV at 22.15 (CET).

Crazy Girl Crazy has garnered critical acclaim since its release, receiving a 2018 GRAMMY award for Best Classical Solo Vocal album, the 2018 JUNO Award for Classical Album of the Year: Vocal or Choral, as well as the Klara Award (Belgium) for Best International Classical CD.
Crazy Girl Crazy is the first showcase of Barbara’s work as both a soprano and conductor, with the Amsterdam-based orchestra LUDWIG. The album was released on released on 22 September 2017 by Alpha Classics.
